ChamberWorks is a strings-only classical music institute in Dallas, Texas for economically disadvantaged, minority, students that aims to produce well-rounded musicians and future arts advocates and philanthropists. ChamberWorks, founded in 2010, was created by Juilliard graduate Marcus R. Pyle. Since its inception, we have been featured in The Dallas Morning News, WRR 101.1, and the Juilliard Journal.
ChamberWorks strives to develop an insatiable curiosity for knowledge and provide the students with the ability to seek out answers in creative and effective ways. We emphasize concepts that are overlooked in the standard musical curriculum because of a lack of time and resources. These are skills such as leadership, marketing and professional skills, attentive listening, and dealing with performance anxiety—vital concepts for artistic growth. Additionally, ChamberWorks allows the student to explore the inner-workings of music through chamber music; by working in a group and problem solving together, the students are developing creativity, critical thinking, and team building.
